ABOUT US

Our mission and values

Durham Woman's Club is a volunteer organization made up of women who are passionate about making a difference in our community through the Arts, Civic Engagement & Outreach, Education & Libraries, the Environment, and Health & Wellness. Our mission is to encourage and inspire volunteerism and altruism among women in the Durham community. We believe that by working together, we can create positive change and make a lasting impact on the world around us.

We are a part of a larger organization in which that supports us with training and ideas, both on the state and national level.

Our parent organization is the General Federation of Women's Clubs, organized in 1890.

​

As a part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of North Carolina, we are located in District 6.

Leaders

Our membership makes up who we are. The gifts and talents of our members determine our emphases and projects. Our leaders serve two year terms and are voted on by the membership.
